Ahwatukee has a few retirement homes and assisted living facilities, but that is NOT what this page is dedicated to. This page is dedicated to Ahwatukee’s one and only 55+ community where one can own either a single family home or patio home. One should really refer to it as Ahwatukee’s active adult community because there is so much to do and people just love living here. Ahwatukee retirement at its best.
This Ahwatukee 55+ community is a vibrant mix of like-minded active adults where there is plenty to do with friends, lots of social events, or it is totally fine to just keep to yourself and have fun doing your own thing.
There are different reasons why people seek out these active adult communities but most love the multitude of amenities, activities, and most importantly a vibrant social lifestyle. By the way, someone less than 55 years old can purchase a home in the community, but at least one person over the age of 55 must reside in the home and no one under 18 may reside in the home.
